We had an amazing 2 week trip to Germany, Switzerland & Austria! From the initial contact for customizing our tour, throughout any questions along the way, the TO-EUROPE team was prompt, professional, concise & accurate. You set us up with all the info we needed in a fantastically organized set of emails. Hotels were comfortable, great breakfast and an easy walk from/to train stations in safe areas. We had two minor unexpected train changes, one of which you let us know about that morning and the second, we called you and you had the new info to us in a couple of minutes. The extra tours were great - informative, fun, prompt. We're saving up for another Europe trip in the future and will definitely be getting in touch with you then!

I cannot emphasize how well everything was planned out. Every day was a breeze to check into hotels, board trains, and navigate cities. I would without hesitation book a trip through to-europe again. We can't say enough To-Europe. Honestly, we had never heard of them before doing a Google search, and we're so glad we found them! We customized a trip that began in Germany and continued through Austria and Switzerland. The team at To-Europe handled booking all of our train travel and accommodations, including a few tours. Several weeks before our departure they emailed us a detailed itinerary along with our train tickets, hotel vouchers and detailed walking instructions from the train stations to our accommodations. Never during our trip did we feel lost or uninformed. And, if we did have questions or concerns, we were able to reach someone by email or phone without issue. They also monitor the train schedules, and you will receive an email if there's a change in trains or delays. In our case, the tracks had been damaged for one of our trains, and a bus was provided for the remaining leg. To-Europe advised us of the problem ahead of time, so there were no surprises. Thomas, Christian, Marie and the rest of the team were fantastic, and I wish I could buy them all a beer!

We live in Canada and traveling by train is something we would not do, The trains are too slow, infrequent and distances too great. However traveling by train in Europe seemed like a relaxing way to move between cities and because the stations are located in many cases near the older parts of the cities we could stay in hotels in the area. We were looking for a 3 week rail tour in Europe and found To-Europe off their website. Without a relationship with the company, we thought it was a little risky these days. But they offered a such wide variety of tours and had a lot of reviews and information on their websites which was easy to check, I also something on Trip Advisor, so we went ahead and booked. They are terrific to deal with. Very open to adjusting and changing itineraries as you desire. Our trip was completely planned out for a a near no hassle tour. T0-Europe sent an enormous amount of detailed information, with accommodation vouchers, train tickets, train schedules, city information, directions on how to get to the hotel, and items they had arranged for different cities. The arrangements and accommodations great! We especially loved the hotel in Bratislava. We had 2 train glitches, one which Christian caught in advance and provided us good options to choose from. The other was a cancelled train during the tour and Thomas was a great help to quickly get us moving again to our next destination. Thomas and Marie dealt very quickly with any questions we had and are wonderful to deal with. I highly recommend this company, and we would use them again without hesitation. . We designed our itinerary to tour 13 days in Germany (Munich, Berlin, Rothenburg, Black Forest, and Frankfurt), 4 days in Vienna and 4 days in Prague. To-Europe had arranged all the accommodations, travel plan and rental car with high quality deliveries and very prompt response and support. Hotels were often meeting and even expecting our expectations and the train schedule was perfect (usually between 12:30-1pm departure time) and the seat arrangement was strategic with the luggage placement. A big thanks to team Marie,. Christian and Thomas with their very attentive response and support. Look no further if you want a trouble free and personable travel professional team.

We completed the Germany Austria tour with an add on of Prague, Vienna and Budapest. I usually do bookings myself but we decided to treat ourselves to having experts do the planning and legwork on our behalf. It was a great decision. Everything went exactly as planned, information was timely and as promised. All hotels were excellent and the breakfasts amazing.
Everything was easy to understand and provided in a manner that allowed us to spend our time exploring and not on the internet!
100% recommend the company and Christian, Marie and team who assisted us and kept us informed along the way. We managed to miss the flooding but I felt confident during our travels that we would be kept informed if there were any cancellations or redirections. That was very reassuring.

This was our first time using To-Europe (or any travel agency). They were absolutely wonderful! Everything was prepared for us and easy to follow. There were no hidden fees or surprises. The To-Europe team also monitored the rail connection and informed us of any potential issues (long delays, etc) which was above and beyond my expectations. My family booked a trip with To-Europe.com this past August. Our trip was the 10-day Germany and Switzerland rail circle. Two Europe's staff, Marie and Christian were incredibly helpful planning for this trip and providing information during our trip when we needed it. All was orderly and timely. Hotels that they arranged for us for lovely and passes, rail tickets, And guidance that they provided to us was all just great. We are happy to recommend their services and would engage them again ourselves.

Once again, To-Europe proved to be the best choice for travel to Europe! We were in Germany, Austria, Czechia & Hungary. All great places to stay and so nice to have suggestions & tickets for multiple tours! The Danube flooded whilst we were there and we had to extend our stay in Budapest. The tour company looked after getting us another hotel, trains and more! So good to know someone had our back!

From the time we starting planning our trip to Germany to the last day, To-Europe was the best. They customized our train trip on The Romantic Road to include an extra night in Würzburg at the beginning and a night in Freiburg near the end of our trip. The best part was their timely and helpful communications. The train and bus connections were smooth and the accommodations were excellent. All the preliminary materials were organized and complete. Very impressed with the organisation, communication and willingness to change the itinerary to suit us. Documentation was very clear and received in plenty of time. Hotels bar one, were all very close to station and suggestions of sightseeing in each city was very comprehensive.

Excellent Tour and could not have seen so many places in such short time.
Hotel choices were excellent and were walking distance to the central station. Thomas is so responsive and helpful. We customized the tour for us. All in all 5 stars. This was the first time i used a tour company but it was worth it.

We just completed our trip and can't recommend ToEurope enough! We traveled with our 3 college aged kids and our trip was perfect for us all and one we will always remember. Having ToEurope take care of all the details for us made it possible for us to just enjoy the experience. The in trip support was the best-morning calls with train itinerary changes along the way allowed us greater ease when the unexpected happened. The suggestions of places to visit, maps, Accomodation Vouchers, and passes for places to visit all enhanced our visit. We just completed our 7th tour with ToEurope. Our travel arrangements were wonderful. ToEurope took care of every detail for hotels and transportation. They make it easy for us to relax and enjoy our tour. On this tour we visited Rüdesheim, Strasbourg, Freiburg, Zurich, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Prague, Nuremberg, and Frankfurt. This was definitely the trip prof a lifetime for our grandsons who accompanied us. We highly recommend ToEurope and will be traveling again with their guidance next year.

We took the Vienna Prague (Dresden) and Berlin 8 Day tour. The hotels were, well appointed, convenient to the train stations, convenient to public transportation (and/or) convenient to tourist attractions. The Vienna Cards got us public transport to and reduced admissions to the Spanish Riding School, and gardens at Shoenbrunn. (And easy transport to a much needed coffee and pastry on arrival day.). Prague was eye opening - a vibrant beautiful city that I hadn't known much about, (Now I want to go back). Berlin, with a hotel close to the Train station, (to make that early wake up a little easier to catch the 4am train to the airport.) was also a 10 min walk to the Bundestag, or a 2 stop trip on the U-Bahn to the Brandenburg Gate. This was our second trip with To-Europe, (the first being a pre-pandemic Christmas Market tour). Any issues were cleared up before we left for the airport, and the planning was done so well we didn't need to contact them while we were traveling.

We took the Germany cities 10 day tour and customised it to become 24 days. To Europe organised things that we may not have thought of, like city cards for free public transport. Being able to walk to the hotels from the train stations was excellent. We had 22 lovely days of weather and 2 record breaking rain events through southern Germany that shut down the rail networks. Without the support and help from the team we would have been stranded without accommodation but they worked well beyond normal hours until we were settled and we are very grateful.

They were monitoring our journey the whole time, which we didn't expect, and this was very useful.

I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

First of all, let me say that we truly enjoyed our trip which was one that I had dreamed about for over 20 plus years. To see it come to fruition was a dream come true. We do appreciate your TOTAL commitment to making this dream a reality. When we ran into issues, your company was swift to react to our needs. The hotels in Venise and Naples were located in areas that could have been better, but over all were excellent. The only option that I would recommend would be to offer what we did and that was to take advantage of the “Hope-On, Hope Off” bus tours. This gives people who are not familiar with the area an excellent way to learn the city and to see places that they may want to visit such as Museums. The city passes were good once we learn how to use them to return to the museums, to places to eat and to city parks. Again, we want to thank you for your excellent service. We have been telling everyone how good your work was in helping us plan this trip, even to people that we met while we were on the trip. If we are able, we will be using your services again to make a trip back to Europe to visit places that we were not able to go this trip.

My wife and I travel regularly to Europe and always use a destination local agency that supports self directed tours. This is our first time to Germany and our first encounter with To-Europe.



The support of the To-Europe team in building an itinerary for the multi location rail tour was tremendous. Always responsive to queries or clarifications sought and extremely flexible; striving to deliver best value in line with our wants and needs. The hotels were all perfectly located near the train stations and the related city center historic areas. Trip logistics (train & car) as well as prearranged tours well described and documents organized. Very efficient.



Best of all however was the "in trip" customer support. We are in our 70’s, travelling independently, through multi locations connected via rail. Help was always a phone call away and To-Europe made us feel quite secure, by responding immediately to every call and in one instance, proactively alerting us to a train interruption and guiding us through the alternative measures. Amazing. All the benefits of independent travel with back-up support and guidance.

Great experience. Beautiful places to visit. Wished we had more time to explorer and appreciate sites more indepth. Unfortunately, we only had 7 days and day light hours were short due to the time of year. Would not suggest taking trains without seat reservations, unless you do not mind standing. Trains this time of year were extremely overcrowded; dragging luggage on the trains was very challenging. Restaurants were great. People were great and friendly. Hotels were fine. This type of trip might be challenging for those traveling with children.

A pleasant experience from beginning to end. The descriptions matched what was experienced and there was a solid foundation in place which set this exciting journey up for great success. Lovely local hotels with spectacular breakfast every morning (the real continental breakfast). Hotel Romantik in Rothenburg was cozy, intimate, and beautifully decorated. Each hotel was also conveniently located near the Christmas Market's, all of which were individually unique with something special to offer. The rail accommodations made traveling from one city to the next smooth and comfortable. Overall, this to-europe experience was pleasant and enjoyable and I highly recommend this travel company, especially for ease of mind when it comes to exploring new territories.

We enjoyed a wonderful 14 day tour of Luther sights. The team was so helpful in customizing their 8 day Luther tour and adding some requested stops. We were given great information and communication was excellent. When we had some rail issues, we were able to resolve them and felt very supported.

We had a fantastic experience with To-Europe planning our trip from Vienna - to Salzburg - to Munich - to Heidelberg - to Paris. We appreciated their careful acknowledgement of our desires on this excursion, our first to Europe. The hotels they booked were all lovely. The train accommodations were first class, as were details such as taxi vouchrrs being mailed to the hotel preceding the city for which we needed a taxi.

We had never used a travel agency before, but I am so glad we booked this tour with to-europe.com! Every step on the trip was planned and arranged for us and that was amazing. However, there were also two rail strikes during our tour, but we were provided alternatives seamlessly. The timely attention was so helpful, especially the one time we exited the train at the wrong station. The to-europe.com team had us rerouted in minutes! We really each hotel and city, and have some great memories. We will definitely book our next European vacation with to-europe.com.

Thanks for all your time and effort used to put together a splendid tour for us. It was plain sailing as everything was perfectly arranged and planned. We had no problems to travel from city to city by train and to reach the hotel from the station. The hotels were all within walking distance of the train stations and if not, a taxi's was arranged. Also our return from Strasbourg to Frankfurt Airport was well planned and we reached the airport on time.

A long overdue huge Thank You to Thomas and the entire staff at To-Europe for a marvelous Christmas Marketplaces tour. From the first time I contacted them to obtain information about the trip to my last email upon my return they were always wonderful to work with, very responsive and on top of those little unexpected things that could have become problems. Like snowstorms and train strikes. It was truly one of my best trips ever. And I would without a doubt use them for any future trips. And I recommend them to everyone I tell about the trip. The whole experience exceeded my expectations.

Where to start...this 10-day Christmas Market rail trip was densely packed with beautiful sights and wonderful experiences, The hotels were well-chosen, convenient to the train stations and extremely comfortable. The GHotel in Wurzburg lacked the charm of the others and appears to be aimed at business travelers, but like the others it was convenient and well-run. (The very old and beautiful hotel in Rothenberg more than compensated.) It's a bit of a whirlwind - it was a joy to have an extra day in Prague and Berlin. Every single to-Europe.com team member we dealt with during the planning process was friendly and gracious. We made several changes and they were dealt with promptly and with good humor. Communication and documents are all provided with great efficiency. I'm very comfortable recommending, and wouldn't hesitate to plan a future trip with this company.

We took the nine day Christmas rail tour. We loved every minute of it. Our accommodations were quaint with excellent treatment by hotel staff. Everyone was so helpful. We booked first class tickets on the trains which I highly recommend. We always had a seat and the trains were quiet. Thank you to the To-Europe staff for arranging a magical trip. You’ve got this down to a science so that your customers have the times of their lives.

My Sister & I took the 10 day tour & loved it. Next time - smaller suitcase as it was a sometimes difficult dragging them onto the trains. Sometimes the directions to the hotels were hard to understand, but we got there.

My wife and took this ten day Christkindlmarkt tour with our son, his wife, and children ages 12,10 and 3.. The arrangements made by Thomas and his team for accommodations transportation, and special events were precise, faultless and easy to follow. and additional information provided for each stop was invaluable. The Christkindlmarkts in each location were magical and unique.. It was a tour that was totally enjoyed by all ages, from 3 to 70 years old. We're just back from our Germany and Austria Christmas market tour. Exhausted, but full of great memories. To-Europe's choice of cities and hotels for this tour was excellent. When planning the tour we requested a few tweaks (adding a two nights) and To-Europe was very flexible and worked with us on these changes. During planning and while on the trip, To-Europe was always very responsive to any email questions that I sent.

These folks are top-notch, helping us from the start to plan a custom itinerary for a Christmas Market tour in December. Our trip began with a major problem as a large snowstorm basically shut down all trains and planes in Munich. Not to worry, Thomas and his team worked diligently to rearrange our itinerary, checked in on us repeatedly to make sure things were going as well as can be expected. Their professionalism turned what could have been a disappointing trip into something we will remember.

First, the good stuff: Thomas and his team were incredible getting us from city to city. All of the arrangements were accurate and well managed. A 24 hour train strike happened on the day we landed in Frankfurt, and Thomas rented a car service to get us to our destination the next day. Amazing.
Now the not so good stuff: Because to the proximity to. the train stations (very convenient) several of the hotels were in pretty rough neighborhoods. Nothing happened to us, but we felt unsafe walking back to hotel at 9 or 10 pm (we are 63 and 64 year old sisters). We found some the markets to be overly crowded (not Thomas' fault). This was my third time visiting the markets, and I don't remember it being this crowded. I would suggest trying to go to smaller, more out of the way cities. Nuremberg and Munich were especially crowded. I do admit that 10 days of dragging bags on and off of trains was a bit much, and would suggest trying to spend two days per city, instead of moving every day like we did. I also found that the markets don't have the variety of goods that I remembered. They were not as unique as they used to be. Also would recommend upgrading to first class train. Much more roomy and comfortable.

We recently returned from a 8 day personalized Christmas market tour and it was everything that we had hoped for and more. Our planning began last February. We wanted to take 2 adult children and their partners . We had specific places we wanted to go. We spent 2 days in Heidelberg, 1 night in Stuttgart, 3 nights in Munich with a day trip to Nürnberg, 2 nights in Garmisch and 1 final night in Munich. All of that accommodations were first class. But Heidelberg and Garmisch were by far our favorite. We originally planned to just go to markets, but with all of the included entries to so many sights , our group had opportunities to go different directions to explore. Thomas provided all the information we needed for to get around each location. Communicating with Thomas was superb. He was always very prompt in responding to emails. The train travel went smoothly as well. We were given several options for departures. My husband and I have done a couple of River cruises, which I do enjoy. But I think I would prefer to see Europe by rail from now on. I like being able to see things at our own pace and integrate more into the culture rather than be isolated on a boat. Don’t get me wrong, river cruises are nice, but you get more bang for your buck traveling by rail. Self paced touring is much more relaxing. I would love to travel in the spring when I can pack a little lighter. But honestly, with a good roller bag, there really weren’t any significant obstacles. I can’t wait to start planning another trip.

This was our third trip using To-Europe to see German Christmas Markets. Hotel accommodations were excellent and always a short distance from the train stations. In Dresden there was a Christmas market right out the front door of our hotel! They were very responsive to several questions I had prior to our trip that made things very easy. Strongly recommend them if you’re planning a trip to see the Christmas markets in Germany!

My wife, myself, our younger son and his girlfriend took the 9 day Germany/Austria Christmas Markets rail tour. We extended the first stop in Nuremberg to 2 days to allow for a little jet lag recovery. We opted for the first class rail tickets and marveled at the smooth, quiet ride and the service.. The only issue we had was missing the Mannheim-to-Heidelberg transfer due to the Salzburg-to-Mannheim train being late but no problem to catch the next train a half our later. The hotels were all 5 to 10 minute walks from the train station (except Heidelberg which needed a taxi but voucher was included). Hotel rooms were fine, breakfasts were fantastic! Christmas markets were lots of fun, many other people thought so too because some (especially Salzburg) were packed! Our family had done a Christmas Markets tour by car several years ago and there was a lot of stress involved driving in a foreign country in the winter to new cities with byzantine street patterns - The To-Europe tour package made the whole experience a total pleasure!

We customized this tour right from the beginning starting and ending in Munich instead of the prescribed Frankfurt with our request being easily and professionally accommodated.
The tour was everything we wanted. The flexibility of a train journey between our destinations and no guide required. Due to a strike of the train drivers one of our journey's was cancelled (fortunately a short one) and I communicated with the agency about the issue the day before with an immediate response and solutions provided. We wound up getting a private taxi arranged to take us to our next destination at no additional cost with first class communication from the company.
The accommodation was excellent and the breakfasts were all very nice also. Plus the additional vouchers included in certain locations like a Night Watchman Tour and the Hop on Hop Off bus were well thought out and very much taken advantage of.
I certainly wouldn't hesitate to book with this company again and take advantage of the tour without needing a guide and the pleasure of the space in a train.

I enjoyed a great trip with family and friends with our tour organized by To-Europe. We saw fantastic Christmas Markets, Museums, Castles, Cities and more. They helped us in unforseen problems of snow storms, train strikes, and any questions that we had. What could have been a disaster, in any of those situations, was easily avoided and taken care of to our liking. I have recommended them to my friends who are also interested in visiting Europe.

Kristen & I just returned from a 9-day Germany/Austria Christmas Markets tour by rail. We’re ready to go again! I can’t write enough great things about our tour group, To-Europe. The To-Europe team is the best we’ve experienced in all of our International travels. It felt like we had our own private concierge before and during the trip. They were communicative, responsive & proactive (Thomas navigated us around a one day German rail strike). All hotels were lovely-at least 4⭐️. Instructions and directions for all rail, hotels and excursions were clearly communicated and easy to follow. And traveling between cities via rail was such a luxurious and scenic experience for us Americans. Of note-onboard wireless access via the ICE app on DB was excellent. Also, be sure to bring great Walking Shoes! Kristen and I averaged 10.5k steps per day!! Lastly, I highly recommend the City Mapper app. Best LOCAL Transportation Guide Ever. Routes and step by step guidance for all modes of travel: walk, taxi, bus, subway, light rail. CM Has it all!!

Great company! We went on a 10 day European Christmas Market train tour and had a blast. We felt very safe and taken care of if we had an issue or a question. The hotels were very well organized and selected close to the train stations and cities. Our train from Dresden to Prague was canceled due to strikes and the company proactively rebooked us on an alternative mode of transport and everything went smoothly. The customer service team were very responsive, kind, knowledgeable and thorough every step of the way. Highly recommend!

This was our first trip to Europe and it couldn’t have been more exciting. The Christmas Markets were so much fun. When we got hit with a snowstorm and all transportation was stopped, Thomas came to the rescue with a new hotel which was just as lovely as the rest. Unfortunately due to the snow we were unable to get to Salzburg or Innsbruck but that did not dampen our spirits at all…….it simply means we need to go back! Do not hesitate using this tour company as they are top notch all the way!

I started planning a Christmas Market rail tour in March of 2023 for my 80 year old mom, my sister, daughter and best friend. It was a lot to take on and I could not have planned a succesful trip without the help of To-Europe! They put us up in the greatest hotels and provided all the documentation we needed in an organized and very detailed fashion. They responded each question with politeness and punctuality. We added four days on to our trip at the last minute and they were able to quickly plan our transportation and accommodations even though it was not on the normal tour they offer. When we arrived in Germany and asked questions they were quick to answer once again and even proactively called us when there was a train strike to help pivot our plans. We also arrived in Munich the day after a large snowstorm where many travelers were getting stuck on trains overnight. Because of their quick thinking and advise we did not have to endure any setbacks. I would happily use To-Europe again and would highly recommend them to family and friends.

Our customized Christmas Market tour was amazing. Thomas and his crew not only made the modifications we requested but were there for us throughout the trip. They made suggestions to our itinerary that worked better than we anticipated. On one day they dealt with a canceled train due to 17" of snow in Munich., On another day they found a train for us that was still running when the rail workers called a strike on the day before we were to travel. We were a bit apprehensive being "on our own" without a group to travel with, but in reality, found it so much better. Not having to rush to be back on a boat or bus by a fixed time to be herded from place to place is so freeing. The hotels were great and always a short walk to train station. While the Markets were similar, each town was different and so were the opportunities to explore their differences as you wished. Thomas and crew had the local transportation passes and information that we needed to experience what we wanted. One day we did a half day trip from Munich to experience Dachau. When we plan our next trip to Europe we will be using To-Europe.

WE just returned from a grand trip from Budapest to Paris! The staff of to-europe did a fabulous job with our requests in planning our trip with the most efficiency. For my 60th birthday, I wanted to plan my dream trip to Germany. This trip would be special to visit the birthplace of my grand father in the Black Forest and wanted to include a Rhine river cruise, some castles, Oktoberfest, and also a few days in Austria to visit Salzburg and Vienna Where I wanted to have a Sound of Music tour and visit the Spanish riding school. After much research online, I found TO-EUROPE and was so impressed with a quick response from Thomas as to how he could customize this trip for me. Their communication was prompt and efficient and the tour was laid out perfectly with all wonderful hotels and recommendations. All we had to do was follow the checklist and itinerary, and, everything went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend and will definitely use them again in the future.
